Carnival orders a 3rd Vista Class ship, Carnival Splendor to leave the Fleet in 2019

15 December 2016 – Carnival Cruise Line announced that it will acquire a third Vista Class Ship from the Fincantieri Shipyard in 2019. The third ship in the Vista Class is one that was originally set to launch with Carnival Sister Cruise Line, P&O Australia. Once the Carnival Splendor is transferred to P&O Cruises she will acquire a new name and look to fit the companies brand. The ship will be the 4th ship transferred to P&O Australia from sister cruise lines in the last 4 years.

Carnival Cruise Line now have 4 ships on order (2 Vista Class and 2 180,000 GT LNG powered ships) with delivery dating up until 2022. The company will now acquire a new ship every year from 2018 to 2020.
