February 1st, 2016 – MSC Cruise held the coin ceremony for its first next-generation ship.
June 23rd, 2015 – Sales for MSC Meraviglia have officially opened. MSC Club members can now book a luxurious vacation on the ship before the general public. On July 5th, 2015 bookings will open for the general public.
April 20, 2015 – MSC cruises started construction on its first next-generation cruise ship today at STX Europe shipyard in St. Nazaire, France. The 167,000 GT ship will become the largest ship for the privately owned company as well as the first ship to homeport in 3 different countries simutaniously.
MSC also announced that she Vista class ship will be named MSC Meraviglia (translated to MSC Wonder in English).
